Financial reporting and live dashboards
The few numbers you actually run the business on, live in a dashboard and delivered as a short report on a set schedule, built on books we keep reconciled.
The difference
A dashboard is only worth opening if the numbers under it are right. Ours reads from books we reconcile ourselves, so the figure on the screen is the figure in your accounts, not an export that was true last Tuesday.
Separate systems, one view
Before you hand anything over
How we handle your data
-
Your systems stay yours.
The work happens in your own accounts, on your own subscriptions, under your ownership. Nothing leaves the systems you have given us access to.
-
Access is requested, never assumed.
Read only wherever the work allows it, asked for per system rather than granted in bulk, and named per person. Credentials are never shared, and your records never sit on personal devices.
-
Preparing stays separate from approving.
A second person reviews before anything is filed or closed. On payables we prepare the run and you're the one who releases it.
Who it’s for
Owners who have books and statements but still can't say quickly how the business is tracking. Also teams rebuilding the same numbers by hand every week, because last week's version is already out of date.
How we help
- 01 We work out the handful of numbers you actually decide on, and cut the rest.
- 02 We pull from your accounting platform and the other systems that hold the truth.
- 03 We build it once as a live view, so it refreshes instead of being rebuilt.
- 04 The same numbers go out as a short report on a set cadence, for the people who would rather receive than log in.
- 05 We keep the books underneath reconciled, so the dashboard doesn't quietly drift.
What you get
- A live view of the numbers you run on.
- A short report on a schedule, without anyone chasing it.
- One source for figures that used to live in several.
- Hours a week back from exporting and reformatting.
- Something you can hand to a partner, board, or lender as it is.
What owners ask about financial reporting and live dashboards
How is this different from financial statements?
Statements are the formal record of a closed period, built to satisfy someone outside the business. This is the handful of views you use to run it week to week: margin trends, cash position, and whatever is specific to your model. Statements look backward. This is current.
How is this different from the dashboards under Technology?
Subject matter, not technology. This is your financial picture, built on books we keep. Custom dashboards covers the whole business, including numbers that never reach the ledger, like pipeline, delivery times, or support volume. Plenty of clients end up with both, reading from the same clean data.
How live is live?
As live as the source allows. Bank feeds and accounting platforms typically refresh daily, so most financial dashboards are current to yesterday. Where a system can push changes as they happen, we take them as they happen. The refresh time sits on the dashboard itself, so you're never guessing how old a number is.
We already pull these reports ourselves.
Then the question is how long it takes and how often it gets skipped when things are busy. Twenty minutes a day of exporting and reformatting is over eighty hours across a working year, and it's the first thing dropped in a bad week.
Which systems can you pull from?
Your accounting platform, plus payroll, payments, CRM, and operational systems where they offer an export or an API. Where a system genuinely can't be reached, we say so rather than promising a connection that will break quietly.
Does everyone need a paid license to see it?
That depends on the tool, and it's worth knowing before you pick one. Some platforms charge for every person who opens a report, which adds up fast on a small team. Where per viewer pricing doesn't make sense for you, the same figures go out as a scheduled report instead, and we say so before you buy seats.
